Innovative Sealing Solutions

For Extreme Environments

Rubberatkins specialises in the design and manufacture of high-performance elastomeric and thermoplastic sealing solutions engineered for extreme environments across the Oilfield, Space, and Semiconductor industries.

Resilient material engineering

VERMANITE®

VERMANITE® FFKM is Rubberatkins’ proprietary range of high-temperature elastomers that have become a game-changer against the current material offerings within the industry.

The VERMANITE® FFKM brand of elastomers can be tailored to meet the most demanding environments; from ultra-low temperature of -40° F to an ultra-high temperature of 650° F, including long-term resistance to highly aggressive chemicals.

VERMANITE® FFKM can be formulated by Rubberatkins to meet the challenges and requirements of some of the most hostile places in the world.

SULFANITE® ULTRA

40 % H₂S – MODIFIED FKM ELASTOMER RANGE, -20° C to 177° C (-4° F to 350° F)

The Rubberatkins SULFANITE ULTRA® material range takes you from 10 % all the way up to 40 % sour gas resistance. SULFANITE® ULTRA. The SULFANITE® material range has been subjected to API, ISO, and NACE testing to confirm the material integrity and its resistance to sour gas.

SULFANITE® materials have been developed to meet aggressive environmental conditions as well as consideration of the various product types and applications the materials will be subjected to.

Operational temperatures as low as -50°C

ASTRONITE®

The ASTRONITE® brand of elastomers is specially designed and formulated to meet the unique challenges of the space sector.  The brand itself is designed to incorporate a wide range of materials, ranging from those used in propulsion systems to profile seals that must seal at low temperatures.  ASTRONITE® is unique in the fact that it forgoes the typical carbon black reinforcement (which is incompatible with many aspects of the space sector) but retains the level of mechanical properties required to function.

Designed to increase product exposure longevity

THERMANITE®

The THERMANITE® brand of elastomers is a unique and proprietary grade of materials developed and formulated by Rubberatkins to provide prolonged resistance to steam and hydrocarbons for Enhanced Heavy Oil Recovery applications with Steam Flooding and Steam Injection at extremely elevated temperatures up to 600° F.

Two Years of Precision:

Rubberatkins' Conroe Manufacturing Milestone

Rubberatkins Conroe, Texas, is celebrating the second anniversary of manufacturing in its US facility. This milestone underscores the company's successful strategic expansion into the American market, aligning with shifting global trade dynamics and the demand for localised, resilient supply chain.

In February 2023, Rubberatkins commenced production at its Conroe facility, marking its first manufacturing operation outside the United Kingdom. This move was driven by increasing requests from a growing client base in the United States of America for domestically produced, elastomer components. The Conroe site enables Rubberatkins to globally deliver rapid, end-to-end solutions from design to testing tailored to the needs of industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, and semiconductors.

The facility's establishment coincided with Rubberatkins over three decades of manufacturing, symbolising a commitment to innovation and customer-centric growth.

The  manufacturing expansion into the US market reflects Rubberatkins proactive approach to evolving trade landscapes. This strategic positioning not only enhances service responsiveness but also aligns with the company's ethos of building strong, adaptable partnerships in the face of global uncertainties.

Recognition and Future Outlook

Rubberatkins' international growth and commitment to excellence were recently recogniseded with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2025.

“The Conroe site represents a strategic investment in our ability to globally deliver faster, more integrated solutions for our clients,” said Andy More, CEO of Rubberatkins.

“By bringing manufacturing to Conroe, we’re able to respond to the needs of our clients across oil and gas, aerospace, and semiconductor industries with greater speed and precision than ever before.” He concludes.

With a portfolio of proprietary materials like VERMANITE® and SULFANITE®, and a focus on sectors demanding high-performance solutions, Rubberatkins is well-positioned to meet the challenges of a dynamic global market.
