Design, Research and Development

Rubberatkins understands that design is critical in the development of high performance components. Our team has expert knowledge in product design and material selection, utilising our practical engineering expertise and the latest diagnostic and analytical tools.

As well as manufacturing to client drawings Rubberatkins has also developed its own range of components.

 

Testing and Finite Element Analysis

Rubberatkins tests materials and designs to ensure they meet the required specification before release.

Pressure Test Cell

  • Capable of testing products in oil up to 20,000psi and 250ºC
  • Ability to apply a different pressure above and below the test piece
  • Capable of testing to EN ISO 14310 to V3
  • Data acquisition system enables recording of test parameters for analysis and investigation

       

Materials Testing

  • Materials can be tested for a full range of physical properties (hardness, tensile strength, compression set, oil swell etc)
  • Data acquisition system enables recording of test parameters for analysis and investigation
  • An in house test rig selects materials for extrusion resistance


       

Finite Element Analysis

  • Rubberatkins can further reduce development lead times, optimise component design and improve product performance by utilising in house FEA expertise.
